Desa Gemilang Bubur Lambuk & Iftar Perdana

  My name is Shahira Anggreni Binti Suryadi from KAED majoring in Quantity Surveying (2218202).  On 23 March 2024, Saturday , our section (13) had a program called "Desa Gemilang Bubur Lambuk and Iftar perdana " for residents in Taman Desa Gemilang. The purpose we did this program is because we know, a charity program like this can aim to liven up the month of Ramadan with charitable activities while reaping the blessings and virtues of Ramadhan.  Therefore, at this time, I will share my experience by doing this program.  Social Impact For the team, we divided into 2 teams, which are in the morning session. They will do all the preparation and start cooking the bubur lambuk for the girls, while the boys will conduct cleaning inside the surau. In the evening session, the next activity is preparing the iftar for all the residents and distributing the bubur lambuk.   As I take a moment to reflect on my experiences and learnings from the SCSH 2163 Usrah in Action 1 course, I find myself deeply introspective about the intricate ways in which this course has influenced my understanding of community, spirituality, and personal development. The Usrah system, with its rich history and emphasis on small, familial-like groups focusing on Islamic teachings, has provided a unique lens through which to view my personal growth and my role within the community.
